Is there any chance to play dvdr backups on a v4 PAL PS2 with neo 2.2 and AR2 V2?

If not, what should I do ? remove neo 2.2 and upgrade to 2.5 ? or should I replace the AR2 with a smaller version ?

Get yourself a messiah chip. If you have that chip in your ps2 you don`t need to patch the games anymore because you don`t have to use a swaptrick anymore. I`ve one to and it works with everything. u can use v2.0

download v1.7 (or1.9) from here
boot your 2.o then swap in downloaded copy 1.7
then swap for dvdr as normal
but easiest way is to get the almighty messiah clone

Thanx. I downloaded ar17 from there.
Could you be, please, more specific about what should i do next ?

I boot AR2V2 then what ? (do I need to hold down the reset button ?)
I select no codes then x and then place cd containing ar17 in ? *with eject or with the release of reset button ?

I don't have things clear in my mind.


By the way after I extract the files from ar17 *zip & winrar* i just have to copy them on a cd or are some things i should know ?

Well haven't you turned nasty? You ask for the help and we do our best at a distance with the info given. Not far off if you need to adjust the pots. Next time it will be a shot laser.

Anyway I notice you've set up a Messiah Install service. So why the dumb question about the Clone/Original? What are you able to install the Original or the CLone?

ANSWER : No. It has to be AR2/1.7 or 1.9 on the v4.

ANSWER :If you can get an earlier version so much the better. You could obtain the 2.5 but a better solution would be either to obtain the Messiah/CLone or go for an OrigaChip. The former is no swap and very expensive (£70 - £90) and the latter boots import originals whilst backups require a simple swap, preferably with DVD Region X as the boot disk.

I extracted the ar17.zip and from 0.99Mb i have now 2 files of 726Mb. I don't know how from 1 Mb archive you can obtain 726Mb but there it is.

What should i do - i cannot copy on a CD cause the files are too big.

Plz tell me what to do > and can you figure out for me how to swap V2 with 1.7 ?
