What is an 'executable archive' ?

Apologies from someone not used to visiting this forum. My 9yo has just lost two of his PC games to the dog . . . and I want to make a copy of his newest gift from Santa: Harry Potter.

I am using Clik'NBurn but it won't copy the CD.

The Gamecopyworld advice is to:
"Replace the original HP.EXE executable with the one from the Executable Archive."

But I don't know what the Executable Archive is . . .

Can anyone please oblige me ?
