Red Alert 2 (again!)

I know a load of people have asked how to make a backup of this game as I have used the search function, but nothing I do seems to make a working copy. You apparently copy the game to hd, replace the game.exe and ra2.exe in the install folder and then burn it to cd with RA2 as the label? When i try to install it, it says wrong cd, so I know the setup.exe file is protected too.....Is there a cracked version of this?
