New to PC game copying

have been copying psx games for awhile but 1 question.
is it the same process for copying pc games as when i have tried i usually get a no cd message.
how do you get around this.

different p.c games have different protections so use something like copy detect to find out which protection, use clone cd, some games will need a crack though, just depends what game, others perfect 1 to 1 copy.
