Using lite-on cd-roms with clonecd
I recently purchased a MicronPC and it came with a lite-on DVD-rom and lite-on cd-rw. I've tried using clone cd on both Links 2001 and the sims. For the first 3-4% it takes a long time, but then after that it seems to speed up. The process completes successfully every time, but I'm left with coasters?? When i put them in either the burner or DVD drive it can't seem to read the cd. Is the problem probably with the brand of burner, or could it be somethign else? I thank you for any help you geniuses can give

try ticking fast error skip in CloneCD. If it still doesn't work then your writer is probably in compatible. You can try to use Blindwrite Suite, CDRWin or Discjuggler and Ddump they are not as good as CloneCD in my opinion but there very good for people who don't have CloneCD compatible burners. Also have a look at Deamon-Tools, if you don't mind running a image of a cd, that is the next best thing to a perfect copy of a cd. You'll have to save about 700MB's of space for each image of a game you make, but you'll never have to use your dvd rom drive swapping cd's and all that other stuff plus games load faster. And finally you can always uses cracks. Go with deamon tools ,best option in my opinion.

Thanks for your help. I will try that Deamon tools and a couple of the other progs. As far as clone cd goes, I think the settings I used were read subchannels, fast error skip & I think it was called smart error read or something like that. Are those the settings that I should use or do you suggest something else? I just found it strange that everything worked without any error messages, but the cd didn't work afterwards. You'd think if my cd-roms were incompatible it would give you some kind of message. Oh well, thanks again for your help!!
