CD Crack Problems

I am currently playing Crimson Skies. In an effort to speed the program up I read that if you install the No-CD Crack it will run faster. I downloaded the utility and tried to install it. I think that I got the wrong version but the long and short of it is that now the game won't boot. I get a message that file MSVCP60.dll is linked to missing export file MSVCRT.DLL:__LCOLLATE_CP. I have uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall it with no sucess. I don't know how to resolve this and any help would be appreciated. I think that it is an easy fix if I knew what file to edit. Any help would be grreatly appreciated......
