playable IGI Project for UK

Having tryed to back up my original copy of Project IGI, as you do. I found that the game did not run; the usual protection stuff. Went on gamecopyworld no crack for UK version.
Solution: if you copy (sorry back up the CD!!) copy and paste the whole CD on to your Hard Drive (approx 400mb) place the german .exe file - from gamecopyworld on to the hard drive, in the PC directory of the game. Double click and your on your way.

oh, keep the CD in the CDROM drive because it needs this to play aswell.

The only problem is that you can only play the first level and then goes back to windows, does any one know have to sort this out!!!!!!

What are you talking about Project IGI is the piss easiest game I have ever had to backup. It has three protections to make it hard to copy but anyone can copy it.
1. It’s is a oversized CD.
2. It’s got a data then 2 audio then another data track, this is a illegal TOC.
3. It's got dummy files, they are hidden, they have a .afp extension.

Make a image using clone CD
Read at 1 speed
Read sub channel data and audio
Write with everything tick except simulation
Write a 1 speed

I did everything at one speed because there are fewer chances of errors and I’m tired of making coasters. And I read and write using a Sony 140E.

If you can't use clone cd, use disk dump, read it out to an image (takes 30 min) and then burn the iso to cd with disk juggler... with the german european version it works just fine... don't know if its any different than the English, the protection seems to be the same. You DO have to insert the copied cd to play, but don't have to modify the .exe, so come time for the first patch (Hopefully multiplayer and/or save game) there shouldn't be any problems...
