I have succeed to do it no further than last week but it was not easy. This is what I did. I use one of my partition drive 700 mb and format it. I copy the full contents of my original AOE2 CD to that drive and then I create another folder named patches and copy the no-cd key patches (empires2.exe) to that folder. Once done I use Nero and burn an image (.nrg) at 1 x 150 kb/s. Read option: check read media catalog, unreadable data was checked to: continue copying, Data mode 2 force raw reading checked and On error: write uncorrected. for the audio tracks the option read audio data with subchannel as well as Ignore read errors has to be check. Once the games is fully installed on you pc you just take the empires2.exe on you folder named patches and overwrite the empires2.exe in your game directory on C: drive. You must copy your CD at 1x150 kb/s. I tried a few times at 2 x 300 kb/s but ruins all my cd. Hope this work for you
