PSX1 backup questions...please help, thanks

Burner: PlexWriter 12/10/32A
Software: CloneCD 3.0.0.17, CDRWin 4.0A, Nero 5.5.2.3, Disc Juggler 3.00.788FTU, Easy CD Creator 4

Ok, I have been trying to make backups of some PSX games but keep getting coasters. I have searched the forums for hours to try and find EXACT settings for different burning progs, but all I can find is other people asking the same thing. I am new to PSX and DC burning, as you may have figured out by now, and was wondering if any of you people that can get working backups could take a few minutes of your time to help me and some other "n00bs" out.

The info I am looking for is mainly settings...cd-read speed and write speed and any other settings to use, what programs work best, what dye-color CD-Rs give the best results (dark blue, light blue, etc.), and whether or not the burning prog you recommend/use requires patching of the backup.

Thanks for any help folks,
Lin

1st you are using plaxtor writer so its compatible cd clone with the newest firmware ##### which one you need
2nd the settings for cd clone are:
READ:
sudchannel data from data on
sudchannel data from audio on
all the rest off
WRITE:
don't repair data on
always close on
all the rest off (if you got burnproof put that on)
read/write on x2 or x4
cd clone copies the protection in te game so no need to patch the games (unless its mod chip protected them you need to patch the game with cdrwin & ppf-o-matic)
which is the best disc to use thats the big question some like tdk or sony some don't like kodok disc i say to use any but not the cheap ones or the black bottom disc i'm talking about psx games you have got a mod chip for your psx

i got verbatim 16X 650mb very dark blue cds.
$15 for a pack of ten. they work brilliantly.the darker the cd the better, thats why sony have black cdrs. stay away from light green cds, the old model psx has trouble reading them.
