Is it worth getting a cd-wr that writes to cd-r at 12x for backing up ps2 games?

Creative have just brought out an amazing new cd-wr. It reads at 32x, writes to cd-r at 12x and writes to cd-wr @ 10x.

Please tell me wether it is worth getting this to back up ps2 games, the wr i have at the mo is only a 2x write so i want a new one anyway. Although one thing i dont know is wether 12x is too fast to copy games?

as far as copy speed i copy most games at 2x I seem to get better backups at slower speeds,.........i believe that creative cdrw's will not copy PSX games but i am not positive about it, ask bot-ck.
