PSX 2 mod chip??

Is there a PSX 2 mod chip out that will let you use cdr back ups on the psx 2 with out the swap trick?? I have a psx and have a mod for it and a burner and can make copys for it just woundering if theres a mod chip out yet for the psx 2 that you don't do the swap trick with. I also have heard you have to have a dvd burner to even make a copy of a game and they cost a shit load I hear. Dvd cdr writers aren't the samething I guess. I guess they only read dvd's. Well if anyone can tell help me with this question I would be very thankful. Oh and if you could tell me where to get the chip if you know. Thanks again.

yes there is a mod chip its called the NEO2 chip
the best place to get it is
http://www.playstationmods.com
when you buy it you get the action replay cartridge and action replay boot disk
the swap trick is simple and is the only sollution at the moment.
all you do is put the action replay cd in the ps2 boot up the ps2 the at the start game options press x then it asks you to press eject and insert game...its that simple...your ps1 backups dont need the swap method you just put them in and boot the ps2 up
so yes there is a simple solution to your question

ya unfortunatly being the creator doesnt count toward much these days... you can always get it cheaper from some guy who just copies the chips. I trust mod-chips.com, ive gotten plenty of stuff from them and i think the chip is 20 or so prewired

yo..i've got a ps2 and the neo mod chip in there..and it's great..i love it. The only thing is.....burning games is fine. But certain ps2 games are dvd-rom based..and u can't burn them w/o a dvd burner..costing about a thousand bucks. I'm not even sure if the ps2 neo will read a dvd burnt game? Anyone know??

cheers warlock this topic was going of the rail i think... cheap chips are not worth thinking about especially when your ps2 cost so much in the first place..

neil in answer to your question...you can get dvd ripped copies on cdr which play on the ps2
