****PLEASE HELP****

Hi,

I have a PS2 and AR2 and a backup of Tekken Tag. I have only sucessfully managed to get this backup of tekken to work once using AR2 (but not sure how). I have tried various ways of booting AR2 and my PS2, but none work. When the screen which asks you to insert your game appears, i press x the cd spins for a while but nothing happens. I would of thought it was the backup but it has worked once. Wildthing gave me some advice but alas this did not work either. Could it be a dodgy modchip, or is the backup faulty (though it did work once). Regarding the EA method when i hold reset down whilst starting up, when i let go of reset the Playstation CD Drawer DOESNOT come as stated on many websites, anyone know why? Thanks to anyone who can help. I'm sure theres a simple explanation for all this!

Well, we don't know what your modchip is. But erratic booting behaviour is either media needs cleaning, or the lens needs cleaning or thelaser needs calibrating (by a specialist).

What model is your PS2 (black label on back right hand side). If it happens to be SCPH 3003R then its a v5 & the EA sports boot method doesn't work.the EA sports games need patching & they should boot normally.
