102 dalmatians unprotected?

After no help from anyone, I backed up my kids 102 D's and seems to work fine...which bring me to my next question...

If you back up and the game starts ok, does that mean there is no protect on the disc or will it stop working after the first level or elsewhere in the game?

anyone confirm?
