Jap PS2 to Pal TV

When playing uk (Pal) psx games on the ps2 through my pal tv using a scart lead it cuts of the bottom of the screen and put a black border on the top of the screen. It's ok with games where you can adjust the screen but te others you can't see the bottom. Can you help me

PS. Will it do this with PS2 uk games (Pal)
