Cant read Megaman Legends 2 CD =( read error at 99% HELP PLEASE!

I'm trying to read a new PSX release and I keep getting this error message:

Error:Unable to read DATA sectors 261738 to 261764 on device 0:1:0
Illegal command request (04h 00h 02h 05h 64h 00h)

And i get this when the read gets to 99%...i've tried using other readers other then CDRWIN and they say there is some error with the CUE sheet when it gets to the end...does anyone know how to get past this or what this new protection is?

ok the problem is more than likely the cd is scratched right at that point...that is usually the reason you get that message
try taking some toilet paper and alchohol, and try rubbing the cd to clean it, it might be a smudge or something right at the 99% portion of the cd, make sure you clean the whole cd not just the edge because more than likely mega man isn't a full 650mb so the 99% spot might be somewhere in the middle of the cd...if that doesn't work...well then....goto to the closet video store and rent a new copy and try that one...

Just because it is new and you are the first doesn't mean the cd is not bad.
My local store had a batch of 12 cds for one PC game that were all bad in same spot, just a bad pressing.

nemesis may have a point, because if you were the first to rent it and there aren't any scratches...then there is no reason you shouldn't be able to copy the game...i made a copy of the one i rented without a problem, so just take that one back and exchange it for another one...
