downloading iso's
How long does it take any of you to download an ISO? It took me 3 hours to d/load Quake 2 I then tried to d/load a Sega tennis game it had 17 files, 1 file took 1 hour so I gave up. I am connected at 50,000 BPS am I doing somthing wrong!

If all files are present, such as on a Newsgroup, it takes me about all of 30-45 minutes.

Hi. It's not just the speed of the connection at your end - where you're downloading from also makes a huge difference, i.e. from a far-away country with many, many people trying to get at the file at once. Do you have a "download accelerator" such as Go!zilla or Getright? You resume downlaods at any time, the computer can re-connect to the server if you loose the connectiona and you can "segment" a download if the server allows (download the file in seperate chunks - speeds up slow downloads). Never give up! Happy trails. |

Ive got Getright on a utility disc I’ll dig it out and see if it improves the situation, cheers.
