MTV Skateboarding (Genius release) on a NTSC DC

Have any1 been able to burn the Genius release and get it to work on a NTSC DC. I have burned it and after the Sega Logo it just returns to the Menu. The same CD however work on my friend's PAL DC.

I also had troubles with other Genius releases(e.g. Snocross), but never tested them on a PAL DC.

Is there some sort of PAL protection?
Any idea on how to make it work on my NTSC DC?
