my chipped ps2 won't run dvds

i had my ps2 chipped and now it won't run dvds or games on dvds

i have had my alignment checked but still nothing works

i can't send it back to sony as it is chipped

send back to them if only just done
sounds like laser out line to me
it does read cd cdrs ok
or if not laser then its must b faulty chip
or did u install it yourself?
