.CDI files and trouble with Disk Juggler v2 *MORE INFO PLEASE LOOK*

I have several .cdi files which contain only a single track (data). I assume that this means the game is not self-booting (duh). This is not a problem and only a minor inconvenience if not self-boot.

The problem is when I load up each .cdi file it tells me:
"W-17512 7/5/2001 11:49:05 PM - Virtual CD-R/CD-ROM: Unable to detect 'C:\UT\UT.cdi' CD format: using user provided format instead"

Looks like there are no intructions (both outside - no .nfo's) and inside the .cdi files on all of them. Which leaves me clueless to what to do.

I tried several experiments with the modes and types and I have a nice stack of coasters.

Can someone explain to me what settings I should use to get these non-boot .cdi to burn and work? Thanks.

*Also, can anyone explain to me the different modes and when and how we should use them if we are to change them from default.

PS: It is very annoying to download 200mb+ and then to have it not work on multiple .cdi files because of lack of instructions when the normal procedure doesn't work.

RANT: CDRWIN, I hate it. I have tried burning several .bin files with CDRWin v3.8D and none have worked. I burned the .bin with Disk Juggler v2 and they work.

Extract the files from the cdi image using cdmage, make an iso of them and finally use bin2boot to make it selfbooting.

Send a message via ICQ to manii
Use this: DissJuggler Ver. 3.00.783-FTU
I guarantee it that it will work 100%
Why? well, because I was having the same problem.
TIP: Use the default settings for all the games.
Don't change anything at all. Except the speed of
recording, lowered to 4x or less and you will have
a perfect backup.

Thanks manii.

I did notice that when I used CDMage to look inside the image it showed there are two sessions (two tracks). One audio and one data mode. And how DJ v2 only showed one track and unkown format was strange. I'll post later tonight on the results.

yeah. discjuggler 3 will burn those images. but keep in mind that discjuggler 3 wont burn v2 images and vice versa. i dual boot with 98 and 2000, just install each version on a different os. as far as speed, i am able to burn at 10x using a sony 12x burner P3 500 128MB. just make sure your system is running clean.
