syberia: crack doesn't work

Hi everybody!

I tried the crack for the english version of syberia. I replaced the syberia.exe file with the the one from the executable archive, but I still need the cd to play the game. Anyone got a solution?

I live in Holland, but the manual and the game are in English, so the crack should work here...

No, it still doesn't work.
I'm still asked to put cd 1 in the drive before I can play the game.

Maybe they released a different version in Holland, but it is in English too.

But thanks for your help anyway. Do you know another solution?

is anything read from the cd while playing the game?
maybe you have to copy some files from your cd to the installation directory...

check the windows Registry too.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
and then something like 'Microids' or 'Syberia'.
(please be careful when changing things in the registry)

or look for configuration files in the installation directory. (*.ini, *.cfg, config.*) check if anything refers to your cd-drive... if so, change it to your installation dir or ".\".

these are just some general suggestions... don't know if one of these can be applied to this game.
