Please forgive me for this discouraging reply.
Neo2.2 and v5 PS2 are a bad mix. Add the uncertainties over AR2/v2.1 (you didn't say if it was 2.0 or 2.1) and anything could go wrong. The Neo2.2 might not be properly installed - sounds like there's a problem understanding the Reset signal as it thinks the PS2 game is a PS1 game. or the burn may be bad. For burning, no more than 4x using CloneCD on a 100% compatible burner (DAO-RAW+96). Don't touch NEO4 - it's a crap chip compared with Messiah. Find the money for Messiah.
