GTAIII-Unusual Problem

About a week or so ago, I bought GTAIII for PC (Duh!!!) and found out even more recently I met all requirements (OHHHH Yeah!)....except one (Crapiosa!!!). My computer runs a graphics card with Voodoo on it instead of the required 3Dfx. Now lately I have been Desperately searching for a patch that can fool my computer into playing the game like I had 3Dfx. Now I now I am not supposed to ask for a patch, but I was wondering if anyone knew a way around the problem, where to find such a patch, if anyone else has encountered this problem, or alternate things to download that may help. After I finish sending this, I will continue my search for something...ANYTHING....to help me out here. If you have any ideas/solutions or anything else, just contact me if you can at Map8807 at AIM (AOL [America Online] Instant Messanger) or MAP8813**********com

Thank you.

First of all I think you have a bit of a confusion there...Voodo is the name of the chipset created by 3dfx. So you probably DO HAVE a 3dfx card on your PC. What your problem may be is that your card does not meet the memory requirements to run the game. Believe me, this game does not run acceptably on the recommended system requirements, even less on the minimum ones....Post your card's specs to get some more help.

Alas, thank you for correcting me. I remember the person who built/repairs this computer said that it was a Voodoo chipset, I just couldn't remember how to word it. And I am positive that my video card is 16MB video card (the minimum) and I also believe that GTAIII does not run off of the Voodoo chipset. (another thing that the builder says. and he is the one who said I would need a patch). I also have the Athlon Processor. I have an 18 GB hard drive so that isn't a problem,, And I have plenty of RAM... Yet, when I start up the game it says I need 12MB of available video memory. I really want this game to work, so is it something that I could change? Like downloading possibility?

If its a Vodoo 3 then you may have problems like everyone else that has one. It doesn't run too good at all, or even run with these cards.
Darn, it's Voodoo 3.2 (if I'm correct), so I have no hope do I? Would a patch even work!?
