sheeit im the one helping people on hear and i dont know 1 thing about cracking or fixing exe myself. but ive gotten GTA3 too work so ill help you.
you need the mss32.dll file in the main GTA3 folder i dont know what it does but it allows the exe too work and you wont get that message.
also if youre using anything after windows 98 i know you have to click on the crack, right click and select cut or copy and paste it on into the main GTA3 folder. simply clicking and dragging out of one folder to another only creates a shortcut and like i said you need that Mss32.dll to run any GTA3 exe
