DVD Region X on Messiah

I have a V5 PAL PS2 with the Messiah and i have DVD Region X on a CDR when i boot DVD Region X (just like i boot a game) i can choose wich region i want to play i select Region 1 en press X then the tray comes out and i put in the DVD but it doesn't play cause the PS2 isn't in DVD Mode so i have to double tap reset but then i lose the Region 1 i selected so it says "Unable to play due to Regional......" does anyone know a solution on how to play a Region 1 disc on a PAL PS2 with a Messiah?

I've succeeded. Double tap RESET to boot DVD Region X - I think you'll find that does the trick.

Not really, now i get a PS1 logo and than it stays on the PS1 logo and does nothing.

Then try with AR2/v2. That also works. Have the OS2 on Standby (red light). Double tap RESET and it should boot AR2. Then select the DVD Movie oprtion, the Region, swap and go. You don't need to double tap RESET after AR2 loads.

any of that will ONLY work with an original region x. with a cdr copy, it's impossible.

1: Does the Multi-region Chip work on a V5?

2: Does it work in combination with the Messiah?
