The most reliable modchip on a ver 4 is probably the neo2.2 from my view. However this is a 9 wire chip with a capacitor for some models.
Not sure which mod chip it is u have, maybe some1 else can help you with that, but when you've finished the mod then place some tape around the chip and put it somewhere away from contacts. That should be ok. (God i'm fuked from last night)
