there's no way it could physically damage the laser unit. laser is light, nothing physically touches the CD/DVD.
as said above, the TOC limit comes from the GS/Region X only having a ~640 MB TOC. if they were pressed on 700 MB CDs, all games would work.

.......i was only stating that my console/games doesn't give off funny noises,and i was also pointing out that there is nothing wrong with the usb mods,especially the keyboard/mod-usb
