I have a Toshiba and all I can say, is that judging from my experience I'd recommend them.

My drive is an old 24x model, but most of the titles Iv'e shoved in it have been copied successfully. The only problem with the older models is the DAO speed - 1x on mine! But I can do a full RAW read.

I also like the build quality.
