Thumbs down Fifa 2002 grafic problem

I´m having problems when playing the game. i can only see shadows and not moving players (one or two). can this be due to the backup? maybe cos I´ve set the speed to read and write too high. MUST it be 4 times? or is it to my grafic card? nivida 128 should be supported.???? what is it?

Well, I might as well put all the info I gathered while going through the EA sites to good use.

Some driver versions (I forget which now) for NVidia have issues with FIFA 2002 and MADDEN 2002, the problems you describe were mentioned in several usenet threads and other game related forums, as well as, in EA tech support documents.

Also, if you're using WinXP, it could be a contributing factor to the problem. The latest "update patch" (which I can't seem to get my hands on ) is said to take care of some of these problems, I don't personally know this for a fact though.

In reference to your backup maybe being screwed, use CDCheck and run a CRC and/or comparison on both your original and backup, if the backup is screwed it will tell you.

Good luck.

Where?

can you tell me in which forums you found something like that. at ea.com i`ve only found common help, nothing special. its a diamond viper nvidia riva 128, which -in my eyes- should work! dont think its a burning problem, everythings ok, except i cant see the players bodies.????

No wonder you're having problems, if you're really using that old vidcard.

You sounded so sure it should be supported, I thought you had a typo and meant a NVidia "128MB" card! DoH!

Trash the dinasour vidcard and your problems will most probably go away, as well.

Good luck.
