VCD's screwing up on DVD player

Ok, i'll try to burn them slower, i've burned them all at 12x using Nero, Easy Cd Creator and also CloneCD. Would the quality of CD's be a problem? Some are on cheap cd's others are on Fuji cd's and get the same problem, will try the speed thing, hopefully it will work ok.
