If you are doing a straight DVD backups onto DVD-R then you don't need any patches.

I think you need patches when you try and rip the game onto CD-R.

Way True!! But why would anyone bother ripping this game apart? It will be about 4 CD-R's when it gets ripped..
You might as well just put it into a Single DVD-R..

considering you have to go back and forth over the entire place several times, it'd mean you have to save, shut down, and load another disc several times within an hour or so. that's NOT worth it.
just buy the game. it's well worth the money.

If not your money just burn it to a DVD-R..It's too much hassle..
I have to agree with Arakon on this..
It's time consuming not too many would rip this anyway..At least to a CDR..Don't bother..Also Personally I purchased this myself..
I checked about several forums and they said MGS2 is TOO BIG to be ripped to a CDR's..
Keep searching but I just think it's waste of time!!
Not too mention DVD-R Drive has dropped quite a bit..
I don't how much is lot to you but go buy one and Burn it..
Obviously You got a DVD rom Drive since you're trying to rip this game so get the Burner and use the DVD rom drive to read the game and Burn the Full Image using the DVD Burner..

The game does have replay value.Did you get all the dog tags to unlock the bandana, stealth suit or the wigs for Raiden?.The game is a laugh with them .I havent beaten European Extreme but i am playing it now(im stuck on olga, she can kill you with 1 shot )i have beaten Extreme though.I almost pulled my hair out trying to kill the harrier, the rays and solidus on extreme.God help me on European Extreme.
