ps2 version 4 and messiah

Hi guys i see you all have your messiahs up and running to the fullest happines... Well I found a master solderer and they installed with no problem... the thing is it does not function correct... the mounting of the chip is in the alternate area which i heard it should have very short wiring..which the first location above the laser is a good spot to use less wiring... the second thing i noticed is that on the messaih china site they say on the v4 ntsc cd/dvd chip should use the alternate spots on the back of the ps2 motherboard... but it is already soldered to the cd/dvd legs correctly... everything is soldered to the correct areas... but i do feel the long wires going to the alternate area may have an affect... I was told by the dealer in uk to check a psone game if it boots and it does with a double tap.but with ugly coloring and the characters are half seen but the background is fine...... what to do... I am a comp tech and cant figure this out cuase i dont solder.... or i would just troubleshoot my way out of this...please help guys if you want a pic i got one... just email me at [email protected]
