Thanks for the info, and pointing me to the review. I think I would still be trying this drive even if I had read that review prior to ordering the drive. Looks like all I may need is a drive that reads protected cd's better than the 7120 currently does, but this can be fixed with firmware and I am also hoping that ricoh will upgrade the firmware to support just-link (their version of burnproof) I will post later this week after some experience with the new drive.
