Problems with my HP

I have a HP 9210 SCSI cd writer. For some reason, when i try to burn audio Cd's with Easy CD Creator 4 and any of the newer ones it ALWAYS locks up my computer. Other programs like nero dont detect that I even have a CD writer. The only program that I seem to be able to burn CD with si Easy CD Creator 3.5 and I cant burn 80 minute CD's with it. Any suggestions?
