Re-binhacking a file shouldnt mess anything. It just changes LBA value. Mine is set to 11702, but if you 1st burnt an audio file so that your 2nd session starts as 11700 and them binhack my 1st_read.bin so that it as 11700 value, it should work...

Taking out those maigo.bin etc. files did nothing. It still just keeps on booting. It just doen't make sense why it does this since I follow the echelon tutorial word for word and the files I am using as the data.iso should not be a problem as I made a copy of a copy which I am using of the source for the files but that copy boots fine it just goes wrong as its the crap hooligans release. Is sonic adventure 2 heavily protected to stop it being copyed by the echelon tutorial method?

Some hooligans releases have "hidden" files.
Sometimes, using CDMage, you only have to rename ".bin.associated" files to ".bin". Some other times, you need to edit the image's TOC in order to "unhide" these files. That's not easy.

You should try to find Echelon's release...
It's the only 100% working one. Hooligans release of Sonic 2 was bugged anyway.

erapin82, it would be a good idea to post your email address if you want a file sent to you. The only way to send an email via the message forum is via the profile page, and it's only a webmail form. It doesn't post your email address.

You should be receiving it the next time you check your email.

Warning, it's over 1.5 megabytes, so the email may not go through, or the attachment may be stripped off by AOL.

If it gets through OK, it may take a while to download the email, especially if you're on a dialup.

Has anyone made a succesful boot of this damn sonic adventure 2 and if so, how. Also how could I use bin2boot to get a bootable file. I did try but never burnt the .cdi file it produced cause my burner does not support discjuggler properly but i use cdirip and cdrecord instead. Does the audio track at the end produced by bin2boot matter and if not can i burn without it?

Did you make a bootable version erapin?

Of course the last audio track matters !!!

It's the way your game is selfboot. It replaces the 1st audio track used in Echelon's method.
