BurnProof is a new technology that companies like Plextor incorporate into their cd-rw drives. It eliminates the possibility of every game copiers enemy, the buffer underrun. Basicly, the computer can't feed data to the cd-r fast enough and the laser winds up with nothing to write. On old cd-r drives this would ruin the disk but newer "BurnProof" drives, if used with compliant software, won't.
