Nope, that wont help. If you look at the filename of the patch you see that it says "safedisc" at the end. This means that it is protected with safedisc. The "Stand-alone game server that runs without CD" means that a dedicated server (e.g. a server which runs the game for multiplayer without the possibility to play the game from the server computer) can be run without CD. To play the game in Single or Multiplayer you still have to insert a CD (or ask you local GCW retailer  ).
