Neo 2.2
I have just got a PS2 with a NEO 2.2 chip inside and a few back up games also with a Region X CD.
How do I play these back up games and what is the method you should use |

You can see that Dal's been away from the Forum during a most critical 3 months!
The NEO2.2 has gone from being the dog's bollox of modchips because it could boot DVD-Rs (albeit by some convoluted double swap process) to being the dog's dinner that fries your laser. Watch that one. Ensure that pin 2 is served by a capacitor and resistor to cut the voltage down from 5v at which the chip operates to 3.3v at which the PS2's circuitry fed by pin 2 works. For precise details, search on posts by Arakon in the last month. If your PS2 is a v5, then the NEO2.2 is a crap chip because it can't handle DVD-Rs due to changes in PS2 design. Can I interest you in a Messiah?
