DC Game Copy

Hey! Thanks to all the people who have emailed me and replied to this message board. It's very cool that people help one another! I found the cable I need to hook up the DC to the PC. Do I just do a normal copy to the hard drive or do I have to save the game as a paticular file? Also, what real good is having a backup to a game if you need the actual game as well?
