First of all what are you trying to copy?
I always use clonecd to copy my cd's.
Go to their site and check to see if your cd writer is compatable.http://www.elby.org/CloneCD/english/index.htm
Hope this helps you...

Your question is in the right place, Zedy thinks he is a moderator.

zedy/bot is correct, this question is against the spirit of our forums.

also, kcodd, what did you answer? you told him to go to elby to see if his cd writer is compatible w/clonecd. how the **** does that help him put a protection onto a cd he creates? honestly? respect zedy, and read the question you are trying to answer bud.

also, copy protecting cd's you create is pretty worthless. neone with 15 minutes can figure a way around it. however, im sure cdmediaworld is full of things to use. ......not that they'll protect your cd.

So many peoples english and spelling in this site sucks here. We have alot of forginers who dont type in english so well. Why would anyone want to copy protect their own cd? Sounded like a mistake to me and he might have wanted to beat a copy protection.
Now what is this zedy/bot thing mean?

janso100, i've found out that you can't protect your vcd's with any protection that's around at the minute, but at least someone around here knows what i was asking!!!
if you haven't got a combo drive like i have you can use freelock which can be found on this site in utilities. it's won't stop everone copy your programs but it will add 6-9 hours for them to copy each disk, haven't tryed this one on vcd's but i've been told it doesn't work on them. Hope you find something if you do please share.

so you want to protect a vcd from being played in a dvd player after being copied? im not sure if there is a dummy file or illegal TOC creator, but since you are creating a copy from scratch, im not sure how you could stop the next guy from copying.

first of all, this forum is for breaking the copy protections not making new ones.....anyway,you can't find a copy protection this way...the copy protections you find are just a walk in the park, and you know why, because they are free......everyone can make a backup of the cds copied this way...just clony and clone cd and everything is done...but even if you paid some money, nobody would give the "source" of his copy protections cause if you gave it to someone who knows what he is doing the copy protections would be useless again.....

so don't hope to do nothing...
