The bit abou others snooping in on your private data worries me, if this is actually what's going on with music sharing programs.
Iv'e been using BearShare for a few days: 10/10. Why? No annoying pop-ups; clear information on what's going where; it's freeware! I didn't expect much when I installed it, but I was pleasently surprised when the songs Iw anted donwloaded quite quickly on my rubbish connection (that's you, British Telecom!). I tried the patch for Napster that unlocks all the servers, but both the standalone program and Napster just crashed. I thing you may need the latest version of Napster or something. I'd definetly recommend it. Here's to the continuation of music swapping - whatever form it takes! Thanks for reading. |
