Lightbulb Backing up Amerzone

At the time I made a backup, I did not have clonecd or a fancy writer. For some reason or other, I decided to archive the contents of the cd to my harddrive, unzip it, then burn it back.

There are huge files on the cd, one is over 1 gig which is impossible on a standard cd blank. without the garbage, which is deliberately inserted in the files, the file is a normal size. I used winrar to zip each large file to the harddrive, then each subdirectory. winrar has its own crc checker and it only zipped the true content of the files.

I then unzipped everything and burned it back using the same label as the original cd. this is the only game to my knowledge that you can use this trick, but it is a good one to bypass the tremendous overburn properties of the original.
