I'm confused.... help!!
I just bought a PS2 (30001R model). I'll get it modded (Neo2.5) this weekend. I'm confused from reading tutorials and stuff. What exacting is patching??? Since my ps2 will be modded, can I just simply backup original PS2 games?
I know my machine can't play DVD backup games. Is there lots of games out there that's in DVD format? |

patching means modifying the image, usually done automatically with a patching tool.

If you use CloneCD to copy CD games, you'll not need to do any patching.

only if your reader AND burner are capable of burning RAW DAO. otherwise clonecd acts the same as any other burning prog, and still needs patches.

If you get a mesiah chip in your ps2 you don`t have to patch anything. The patchers are only for the swaptrick you`ll use with your ar or gs. I suggest you try to et a messiah chip. You can play everything with it. DVDr cdr you name it.
