We've all taken the risk of mod-chipping the PS2 in order to play import backups. It's nice that your siupplier will guaranyteee some modded devices and I suppose we have to respect his decision as regards PS2.

But I doubt that you'll find a mod-chip that allows import PS2 originals to play. This is because the boot process, before a mod-chip gets in, reads the disk "off phase" to detect the colour and only allows the correct original as pressed to reach the next stage of booting - or something like that!!

So the choice is yours.
