The Wonder of Charlie.......................

Hi,
I am a bit lost, as you gather from my posting here.

I was wondering if it wsas possible to play VCD's on the ps2.

Has anyone ever managed to do this?

Also, while you are there, why is it that most vcd's you burn
yourself work fine on the computer, but will not play on the DVD
player (Toshiba sd2009)???

many thanks for your time.

PS2 can't play VCD directly, there's simply no support for them in the BIOS.
as for your DVD player, make sure you encode the video within the vcd specs.. also check if it supports them at all.

Some Toshiba DVD players support CD Video, others don't.
