Help/advice needed please-Age of Emp

I've just made my fist copies-Age of Empires.
They wont even run when,I put the disc in and get the message-"failed to find or read language specific setup resource .dll"
Are my first attempts scrap?
will a patch sort em out ??

What the hell....?

Use Nero/CDRwin/DiscJuggler and make a 1:1-copy! AOE1 has NO copy protection as i know. Alternatively u can copy the whole cd with the win-explorer and burn an iso (drag & drop with nero).

How do u copied your cd? Is the content of the cd the same as on the original?
