I have some bad news! YOU cannot make a Perfect 1:1 copy of it! That one cannot back it up , becuase it cannot do SD2! Some1 heresomewhere managed to doit but i am shure there is something fishy going on!

Anyway, What you can try is to make a copy using CloneCD and then Use Unsafedisc to make a Fixed exe. and then play it using the new exe. OR you can just full install and then patch it and play with no cd or you can copy all the contents to the HD and then replace the exe with one from GCW and then burn the contents to a CDr.

Hey I have a copy of Black and White and when I tried to make a 1 to 1 copy using Clone CD everything worked except none of the files are recognized by my CD rom drive and it recognized it as a Audio CD for some reason. Are there any special options I should have selected when I try to back up this game with Clone CD? Also I I were to copy all of the files into a directory and burn everything in that directory what program would you suggest I use? If you can help me in any way please do it would be very helpful.

Thanks

To make a perfect copy you need the right burner seeing it is protected by SD2 , so what do yoiu have?

IF you want tocopy all contens to the dir then back to a CDr, you can use just windows, but you will need the crack to play it !

Settings to use in CloneCD:

Fast error skip
read retrys 3
error correction none
read speed 4X

Writting:

USe default settings!

Packer if your a "Premium" i dont think you should talk like that. What we are doing here is making a backup-cd of our original cd, so why this NEED of a 100% exact copy. the game works perfectly with a crack so why not use a crack if thats the easyest way ?

The patched version will not work. The patched version will install correctly but won't run because the obsolete file has been removed but the safedisc v2 hasn't been copied over.
As it stands you cannot copy this game. That will be change though.

BOT is on a distinguished road
If you are able, in any way, to follow the instructions on GCW - it works.

I made a copy with GCW intructions and it didn't work. The one where you copy the cd into the temp folder and run the batch file. It installs but won't play even with the NoCD. I don't like the fact that it leaves dirt in your registry even after you uninstall it. ie..It never asked for a CD key even when I reinstalled with the original cd.

The only way I got it to work was to use CloneCD and the NoCD patch. Stay way from that batch file crap.

Ok. Can someone tell me EXACTLY how to do this? I'm trying to copy Black and White, and I followed the directions in GCW to the best of my abilities, but it doesn't work. Here's what I did.
1. I copied all contents of the cd to this directory-C:\temp\cd.
2. I downloaded the executable archive provided on the site. I then right clicked it to extract it, but there was no extract menu option, so I used winzip to "add" it to C:\temp. Another window popped up with the file and an extract "button" in the toolbar. So, I highlighted the file and "extracted" it to C:\temp, as instructed.
3. I then downloaded 16comp.zip, opened it, and extracted 16comp.exe to C:\temp as already described.
4. This step is the problem, I believe. The instructions say "Execute bnw_sp.bat from the temp directory to replace the game executable in the installation files." Well, I can't find bnw_sp.bat ANYWHERE on my computer. I've searched, used the find files or folders utility, and it is simply not there. So, I burned all of C:\temp to a cd-r, and it didn't work, of course. I got a message that said "please insert the correct cd-rom into the drive", or something to that effect. My burner is an LG CD-RW CED-8083B (That means it's just a generic piece of crap, no manufacturer). I have CloneCD, Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4, and the latest nero. Can someone help me? I feel very computer illiterate right now. If you'd like, you can e-mail me at bogardanboy**********com. Thankyou.

I made the copy exactly the same as everything else i do with clone cd and it worked fine first time. I have a bog
standard mitsumi writer. I have made several more which again worked fine, no patch, fix, etc. The only settings i have #####ed in clone cd are:
Read: read sub channel data
Write: Close final session
