More help with Sims Livin' Large No-Cd crack...

I tried posting this once, but I guess it didn't work. So, here goes... I installed the expansion pack, copied everything off the original CD into the installed game folder, and replaced the executable with the No-CD crack one... it launchs fine without the CD, I have sound, but when I get into the game, all the "extras" that come with the expansion pack aren't in there. It's just like playing the regular Sims game. Why is this? Can someone please help?

This is what i did:-Install the first original 'THE SIMS'.
Replace the executable file with the No-CD crack.
Make sure that it works. Then install the CD of 'THE SIMS-Living it large' to the same Folder as 'THE SIMS',It should do it automatically for you.
Now when you want to play THE SIMS-Living it large
play it with the CD on the CDROM.
If you want to play 'THE SIMS' (original) just take out the CD from the CDROM.
I have no problems with it and i never needed the patch for 'The sims-Living it large'.
Hope it works for you.

Well Fernn, if you do as you suggest Livin large will NEVER install correctly!
The Sims website at EA spells it out in simple terms.
Attempt to install it on a patched copy and it will NOT do it correctly.
Livin large MUST be installed to a NON cracked Sims!

Okay, well my question still hasn't been answered. All I want to do is to be able to play Sims Livin' Large without using a CD. Is that possible? See, my buddy and I both have the original Sims game and we went in together and bought the Livin' Large Expansion pack and we can't very well use it on 2 different computers. That's why I need this patch to work on either computer.

Fernn, before you continue to post crap, and endanger your visiting this forum, check the information at the site.
The link is - http://thesims.ea.com/us/support/question65.html
but as you cannot obviously check before posting incorrect information here is the info -

I installed LL, but it looks like the same old The Sims. Why? What do I do?

Some users report installing the Sims Livin' Large, but get no multiple neighborhoods, no new walls, no new floors, and the only objects they get are the downloads that were included in Livin' Large. Some users also report seeing the new Livin' Large objects in Buy mode, but not in Live mode.

This generally occurs when a user has installed an unauthorized 3rd-party patch or other modification to the game's executable code. The Sims Livin' Large only installs properly on legitimate, unaltered versions of The Sims executable. Objects, skins, walls, floors and such have no effect on this; it is only patches to the game's executable code which cause this problem.

If you disagree then argue with EA!

And as for your question bluesmang, obviously posted without even looking on GCW, LOOK ON GCW!
All the fixes are there.
