Frostpunk 2

  • Test the game with only one selected language.
  • Only sound files are affected (they are mostly located inside PAK file).

How:
  1. Extract contents of frostpunk2.7z into "Frostpunk2\Content\Paks" folder
  2. Run "_1.bat"
    • Backup will be made automatically if it does not exist. Backup file is "pakchunk0-Windows.backup".
    • If anything goes wrong, simply rename the file extension ".backup" to ".pak", then you have original untouched file.
  3. Wait for extracting the game file, then select the audio language you want to use.
  4. If the whole process is done, play the game.

If everything is going well and the game is working like it should, then this test is done.

Notes:
  • This test does not encode any of the sound files, but since it is zeroing some data, you will archive better compression ratio.
  • Keep in mind that with altered "pakchunk0-Windows.pak" file any patch for this game will not work because of wrong checksum of this file. For this purpose you have the backup file.

  • Make sure the path doesn't contain special charakters like "!".
  • Test the game with only one selected language.
  • Test the game with only one selected video resolution.

How:

Hello, I am doing Frostpunk 2 as you taught, the traditional language program is still available, I can not disable it
