1.-- Install Game, update to latest version + No-DVD.
2.-- Download the Conversion and extract to HD, (not in game folder)
2a.- Move _CommonRedist to Conversion output folder. (Last DVD)

Redone this with newer install which is a whole lot faster and do get the icon on screen as did before.
Only problem is if start game from the last save with newer install it will crash so if not in to far just restart and all sorted then

It seems the installer dont place shortcut on desktop. Exe file path is: {app}\Artemis.exe
