hi bot wassup, i too am keen on smoking weed everyday, but i have no time because of my red alert 2 backup problem
so, i am trying to back up red alert 2 and so i came to the website (www.gamecopyworld.com) and chose the cd copy, here i found instructions and 2 items that i needed to download in order to backup both allied and soviet cd's. i followed the instructions, and i came to a pont whereby i had to extract the file i downloaded into the temporary folder i had created, this went fine, then the instructions told me to run a file in the setup folder of the game(i copyed the whole contents of the CD1 to a temp directory and the setup folder is on the CD) when i had extracted the file i downloaded to the temp directory as instructed one file had been put in to the setup folder called allied_crack.bat or something like that, the instructions said to run this file to patch on of the files in the game, i ran this file and a dos window appeared displaying this message "access denied duplicate file name or file in use"
. i can only assume that this si why the cd didnt work in the end. Despite this error message however i continued with the instructions. When i had finished burning the cd and came to install the game the install screen popped up, but when i pressed next to continue i got an error message telling me to insert the correct CD!!! i hope this is clear, and that u can help! thanx

i think your problem is the file with this crack.bat tries to patch is read only so you shoul remove this.rightclick in explorer and remove this.
But I would do another way.

copy all files from cd to hd and copy now all files to cd but create a extra directory called \crack in this directory you copy your cracked ra2.exe i think then when all is on your cd it run.
After you insatlled the game and replaced the ex ein your installdirectory with the one in your \crack directory.

Hallo zusammen,
Hier nun eine CD-Copyanleitung für Red Alert 2 wo man auch nach der Installation nicht einen Crack ins Installationverzeichnis kopieren muß!!!!!!! Ladet euch den Crack den es bei GCW gibt für die deutsche Version runter. Einfach die CD`s auf Festplatte kopieren und die Setup.exe austauschen im Setup Verzeichnis der Cd bei beiden Cd's !!! Dann nicht wie beschrieben die RA2.exe in einen Crackordner packen sondern in das Verzeichnis Install packen und dort die vorhandene exe ersetzen.Jetzt einfach auf Cd brennen und nicht vergessen das die Cd's genau so heissen müssen wie die Originale !!
Jetzt nur noch Installieren und Spiele!!!!!!!!!!!
